Safety Net Achieves Working with Trauma Quality Mark from One Small Thing

Safety Net is thrilled to announce that we have received One Small Thing’s Working with Trauma Quality Mark at the Silver Level: Trauma-Informed. This recognition reflects our efforts to establish a comprehensive process of assessment, moderation, and an internal verification panel.

The Silver Quality Mark means our trauma-informed work is integrated into our culture, practices, and environment, and we prioritise individual needs and well-being. We are honoured to receive this accreditation and join a community of organisations dedicated to the trauma-aware, trauma-informed, and trauma-responsive approach.

One Small Thing is an organisation with a mission to redesign the justice system for women and children. They strive for a justice system that recognises, understands, and responds to trauma effectively. Recently, they built Hope Street, a residential community that offers women and children access to specialised support in a healing, trauma-informed environment.

The Working with Trauma Quality Mark is awarded to organisations that meet robust standards for working with trauma. It is available in Bronze, Silver, and Gold, providing a national benchmark for trauma-informed practices. It offers accessible guidelines to help organisations develop their trauma practices, support funding applications, and demonstrate their commitment to trauma-informed care.

The Mark was developed through extensive analysis of global trauma-informed practices in partnership with Dr Alexandria Bradley from Leeds Beckett University and peer-reviewed by The Nelson Trust and Tina Vink at Together Women
